Joseph G. Abreu passed away on Oct. 7th, 2008, at age 21, after battling
leukemia. Joseph is survived by, His Dad Alan Abreu, Mother Sheila McCord,
Stepmother Laura Boeing, Sister’s Vanessa Abreu, Sarrena Johnson, Brother
Dereck Johnson, Grandmother’s Bonnie Abreu, Trible Barrett, Grandfather’s
Gary Abreu, Les Barrett, Uncle’s Greg Abreu, Jon Barrett, Aunt Allison, Cousin
Shelby. Joseph was first diagnosed with leukemia at age 8, after almost 11
yrs. of remission he had a relapse in 2007. Joe underwent treatment, and a
bone marrow transplant donated by his sister Vanessa Abreu. Joe continued
his occupation in owning, and operating the family business. He always kept a
positive attitude in doing the things he loved, skating, art, and dancing. Joe will
be missed by all that love and care about him. Our Family would like to
sincerely thank everyone from California State Prison Solano, for their care and
concern for Joseph. We also extend our thanks to everyone at Lucky’s
Supermarket and Nadeau Funeral home for all of their help. We will be having
